we had plenty of AA on our side as the thunder hawk found out when it came onto the board and almost dropped, and by the time apocs is done there will be more codexs with forms of flakk missiles options in them, and with that much on the table weight of fire can be enough of AA
40k: guard/marines/chaos/tau
Deadzone: enforcers and rebs
Fantasy: skaven
Dystopian wars: antartica
Malifaux: reserectionist
Dredball: terratons
Dust: SSU

??? I think a Hydra platform is pretty good value (in points, if not money).

The tankbustas charging a baneblade and the rediculous chain explosions and death that happened when it went nuclear, with one boy surviving to wreck more havock.

2 "interesting" memories...

This.

And the exploding Warhound.

And my little noticed Predator with no weapons (lost it's turret in turn 1) speeding across the table unmolested to crash into a Basilisk, Immobilising one of the few things on the battlefield which had no interest whatsoever in moving.

Aegis Defence Line Quad Gun+Balsa Wood=Cheap Hydra Platform.
Aegis Defence Line Quad Gun+Chimera Chassis=Relatively Cheap Hydra.
