Jason's Cube Night - When Next?

Postby JamSpot » Sun Mar 17, 2013 9:43 pm

Hi lads,

I'm keen to get another Cube night set up.

We would need a minimum of eight players (so thats 7 plus me).

Who fancies it?

My Cube list can be found here.

It's a special way of playing Magic: The Gathering. Like a draft.

It's not like a draft, it is a draft. When you Cube Draft you play MTG in exactly the same way as you would any other time, no special rules, it's just a draft from a set of cards that I provide.

My Cube is a Powered Cube of about 520 cards (need to get it to 540 to accomodate 12 players). Powered means that it contains the cards which make up the legendary Power 9.

My Cube is pretty pimp (lots of foils and really old valuable cards) and is probably valued around £3000...but that is monetary value, a lot of the cards hold sentimental value of which I wouldn't be able to put a value to.

What is a Cube Draft? - Click here here for further information.

My Cube is based on a list by wtwlf123 over at MTG Salvation. He is a god when it comes to Cube lists, his list and as such mine can be found here.

All of my cards are double sleeved to protect the expensive cards. I provide all of the basic land as required for a draft, the land is all foil and of the same artwork...it looks slick.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

I may be interested in this but I haven't played magic in years. Last time I played it was 5th and 6th edition.

Wow that's great.....I didn't understand any of that, I didn't know it was to do with MTG.
Thank you for your effort in answering my question though.

I sent an email round to the magic players who are at uni, but no response as to when they will be in London next. Best way is probably to just pick a night when you can run it, giving say 2 weeks notice so we can check if it clashes with anything.
